The Value of Free Time

Oh, how much free time you have. Are you a full time student or have 9-5 job. There’s a breeze in the air once Friday nights passes by and in the home stretch.

Everyone needs to take and create time where work just stops to have fun and relax .

While you can do them in varying order throughout your free time it is important to note that if you’re new to the idea and practice of adding value to it, you should start by implementing them in the following manner until you’re well-rehearsed.

Relax

You’ve had a long day; face it, long period of pure work, is a long haul no matter the work involved. You need to spend a little time relaxing. What your idea of relaxing is will differ from your co-workers and friends; you may like to work out while one of your friends likes to sleep. It doesn’t really matter.

Sleep in if you can or want to; enjoy the morning coffe or a book –review of your RSS feeds works just as well :) – or simply take notice of your surroundings while doing very little to nothing at all. Just do it. Relax and you’ll start to add value to your free time..

Recharge
With only a couple of hours to spare, it’s important to refuel, revitalize and recharge the batteries.

Burnout can easily take hold if you are always “turned on.” What happens when you leave your ipod on all the time without plugging it in? it runs out of juice Both can apply though, depending on how you look at it. Even if you spend some time recharging, you’ll at least be able to get back to work for the upcoming week with ample energy to last.

SO

The value of your free time is whatever value you choose to give it. Your choice may not be everyone else’s – both in terms of days of the week or how you choose to spend it. The value may not matter to you so much; but it should. Because how much you value your direct reflection of how you value something far more important.

Interruptions Happen all the time and i bring you this message on how to avoid distractions.

Hey, you busy? Sorry to interrupt, but I have some ideas on what you can do about all those distractions and interruptions getting in the way of your work.

Start by keeping a track of the interrupts that occurred in the day. Whatever that caused it, know why. You will discover that there are patterns to your interruptions. With this, you will recognize the cause to prevent interruptions.

Furthermore, you need to change your mindset in handling interrupts. Remember, very few interruptions are both urgent and important. Get out of the habit of dealing with items the minute they come in. Write An Effective To Do List and keep track. Stay focused on the task at hand until you complete it the rest of the work will still be there when you finish

The Power Of Determination

One of the most important qualities you need in life is persistence.

You must be persistent in your disciplines and habits; perseverance in the face of negatively, hardship and challenge; and determined to achieve your dreams, no matter what.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great –” Mark Twain”

No matter how well you plan and how well you execute your plan, you are bound to meet with disappointments, adversity and failure along the way to your ultimate goal. Sometimes, you’ll encounter what seem like overwhelming odds.

There will be many times when you will want to quit, give up, and start something else. The longer you hang in there, the greater the chance that something will happen in your favor. No matter how hard it seems, the longer you persist, the more likely your success will be.

Write An Effective To Do List

Put aside 10 minutes at the end of each day or beginning of each day to write tomorrow’s to do list.

To Do List is a way to plan our day and manage time effectively.

Today, I will show you how to write them, what should and should not appear on them, and most importantly, how to get the most from them has never been more important.

Try assigning tasks form most urgent to least urgent. But try to do hardest task first and go form there.
Make a list for leisure activities- books to read, videos to rent, restaurants, bars and clubs.

Don’t flood your list with simple every day task. It’s tempting, but over-filling your list in order to feel like your doing something

Do remember that some things will take longer than expected while other tasks will take less time than originally planned.

Don’t fell like crap, at the end of the day, because there’s more things you wanted to accomplished on your list than completed. Maybe you fuck around too much.

:)
